That’s completely understandable. It can be difficult to trust a service you haven’t tried, which is why I offer a free sample of my work with no obligation.

Simply send up to four pages (approximately 1,000 words total) of your novel via my contact page, and I’ll proofread them free of charge.

I’ll return your sample within four business days. You’ll receive corrections in grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and other key areas of proofreading, as relevant.

If you like my work, we can then discuss moving forward with a full proofread, subject to my availability (I currently accept a limited number of projects).

If you choose not to proceed, that’s completely fine as well.
